Recently trying to revive his career with a series of four-round boxing exhibitions, the most outrageous character in boxing, the one and only Mike Tyson has once again figured in news for wrongdoings. The next standstill for his declining boxing career could be an open-air in jail, at Tent City.

After pleading guilty on charges of drug possession and driving under the influence, he might probably face up to a maximum sentence of four years.

South Africa’s win to clinch first place in Group A has now placed the three traditional Southern Hemisphere powers to stand five points ahead in their groups. It’s no surprise that the powerhouse Tri-Nations teams have reached the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup with a game to spare.

The 2007 season for tennis appears to be crammed with drug abuse and bans. Two of the men’s players have been suspended this year for failing drug tests and three others are serving bans, including Slovakia’s Karol Beck. With singles ranking much lower and currently rated 52nd in the world for doubles, Brazilian tennis star, Marcelo Melo has been banned for two months for a doping violation.

In his 17th NFL season, Favre threw for 369 yards and three touchdowns, giving him 420 in his career to tie Dan Marino for the all-time record leading the Packers to a 31-24 triumph over Turner’s Chargers. Matching the mark in dramatic fashion Favre found Greg Jennings over the middle for a 57-yard score, with two minutes remaining, to guide Packers all the way.

An imperative 25-3 World Cup triumph over Ireland clearly states a message coming out of the French camp that they are back. Pick of the day, scrum-half Elissalde kicked five penalties while two brilliant second half tries from winger Vincent Clerc tattered Irish hearts in the Six Nations to give France the much needed success they deserved.

Speed and maturity has raced Stoner to dominance of the MotoGP world and is all set to wrap up his first MotoGP world title in style with victory at the Japanese Grand Prix, this weekend. With just four races left, Stoner is looming to become Australia’s first champion, since Mick Doohan.

However his Ducati teammate, the two-time defending champion at the Motegi circuit, Loris Capirossi although struggling this season, but this track has always favored him.
