Villeneuve flays over-aggressive Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton’s aggressive driving is not apparently winning him friends and former world champion Jacques Villeneuve has lashed out at the rookie driver for dangerous driving. Hamilton’s dirty driving reminded Villeneuve of Michael Schumacher and the Canadian wondered how the greenhorn driver was getting scot-free. Villeneuve said When will these chopping moves stop? Lewis is not getting penalised and his behaviour off the start has started to look the way Michael used to. So far, he has been lucky, so we’ll see if it carries on. He makes progressive moves that would have got some of the other drivers black-flagged. Hamilton’s stupendous success before joining the F1 arena created lot of expectations and the 22-year-old driver’s penchant to make places off start also earned him the spotlight. Hamilton has been faster than his illustrious teammate and double world champion Fernando Alonso in the last three races but the team management had instructed him not to challenge Alonso in Monaco. Villeneuve, however, is still not convinced and believes despite his blistering pace, Hamilton would have to perform under pressure to prove himself a top notch driver.
