Recently trying to revive his career with a series of four-round boxing exhibitions, the most outrageous character in boxing, the one and only Mike Tyson has once again figured in news for wrongdoings. The next standstill for his declining boxing career could be an open-air in jail, at Tent City.
After pleading guilty on charges of drug possession and driving under the influence, he might probably face up to a maximum sentence of four years.
At the age of 20, Tyson became the youngest man ever to hold the World Heavyweight title, grabbing the feat by knocking over Trevor Berbick in 1986.
Considered as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, Tyson’s career was dogged by controversy both inside and outside of the ring.
No stranger to a prison cell, he has served three years in behind the bars following a rape conviction and years later was again sentenced for three months.
In 1997, he was banned from boxing for a year for repeatedly biting his opponent, Evander Holyfield.
Biding farewell to the sport in 2005, the iron Tyson succeeded in 50 of his 58 professional contests involving 44 bouts as knockouts.
