England’s James Toseland racing his HANNspree Ten Kate Honda, wins the World Superbike championship for the second time despite playing second fiddle to Japan’s Noriyuki Haga at Magny-Cours, France.
Conquering the feat as a double World Superbike champion, the time is right for Toseland to pit his skills against the likes of multiple champions Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner, the latest in a long line of Australians to hold the world title.
Toseland, the 2004 champion beat Haga by a close margin of two points, 415 to 413.
