tiger woods eyeing another title
Tiger Woods turned in a sedate second round card of four-under 67 in tough conditions to reduce the gap and the world number one golfer is now breathing down the neck of joint leaders Aaron Baddeley and Jonathan Byrd from just one shot behind after the halfway stage in the BMW Championships.

Three-time winner at the Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, Woods came up with his second straight round of 67 to join Justin Rose, Steve Stricker and Camilo Villegas at eight-under 134.

If Woods manages to win his fourth title here, he would equal Willie Anderson and Billy Casper. Walter Hogan still holds the record of five titles here from 1916-1932.

Woods approached the penultimate hole at two-under and signed off in style, with back-to-back birdies, that pushed him up the ladder and kept him in stay four a fourth title here.

Meanwhile, Australian Baddeley carded a scintillating six-under 65 that included eight birdies and a couple of bogeys, to join Byrd at the top at nine-under 133. Overnight leader Byrd maintained his top slot with a round of 69.
