Jaromir Jagr the NHL MVP runner-up last season, who underwent a surgery on his dislocated left shoulder in May, returned to hit the Ice with the New York Rangers. Jagr had set Rangers records last season with 54 goals and 123 points.

The 34-year-old All-Star was cleared to take part in full contact practices earlier this week... At the start of training camp, the Rangers coach Tom Renney said it was uncertain whether Jagr would play in any exhibition games, but with medical report being positive, Rangers had a new look, with the Star back in the team.

Jagr had injured his shoulder in the playoff opening loss to the Devils...Which kept him off the game for over five months...It was a crucial comeback for him, he played fairly well more than even expected though without any points or a shot at goal in the Rangers preseason loss to the Islanders... The Rangers will surely gain some momentum with his return in the forth-coming games.
