The NBA star Grant Hill recently sealed the deal with Suns. The 34 year old forward accepted the two year deal. First year will yield $1.8 million and next should get him $2 million.

Grant is a seven times all star forward and is one of the most sought after player in the industry. Previously he made his cash by playing for Orlando Magic. Now, hopefully he will be making some serious cash from Phoenix Suns.

Player stats:

* So far Hill has played only a third of Orlando’s 574 regular season games. I think that’s an insane number of games. Then again keeping the number of teams & fans in perspectives, it’s not that many.

* Hill’s current agent is Lon Babby. Babby reported the fact that Hill got courted by 15 teams, which is quite a bit.

It seems like Hill isn’t looking for money. He needs a team that plays championship. As Hill’s agent Babby mentions:

There’s no question he could’ve gotten considerably more money elsewhere, but that was not the principle.

* Hill’s averages 14.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. This is from when he played for Orlando.

* Looks like Hill will be replacing James Jones (former Phoenix player). Phoenix needed a ’small forward’.

So from the previous stats looks like Suns has made the right choice. Should be mutually beneficial for both Hill and Suns. Hopefully with Hill on their side, Phoenix should have a better record than 16-21 (last season).
