He denies the accusations, yet this sports story hits the front pages of every major daily - the 2006 Tour de France winner Floyd Landis is accused of cheating yet again.
The Landis’ tale, received a new twist to its tail on Monday as a French newspaper L’Equipe reported that follow-up teats on the American’s backup ‘urine’ samples found traces of synthetic testosterone.
Landis speaks out and continues to battle clearing his name off the headed defame - proving himself innocent he questions the testing done by the French lab (LNDD) citing it faulty.
The Lancaster County cyclist claims that the results of the latest finding are another exercise for stripping him off the Tour de France title - he argues that his representatives was prohibited from fully witnessing the revised tests.
An arbitration hearing of the Landis’ case has been set up for May 14th in California - the repercussions of failing to prove innocent could be fatal for the champ ‘perhaps’ - he could be stripped of his 2006 Tour de France crown.
