It is this young sensation of Indian tennis who has this eerie habit of causing upsets and she has done it again by taking a quick revenge of her Sunfeast Open semi final defeat.
India’s Sania Mirza cruised past the top seed and former world No 1 Martina Hingis in the Korea Open...Sania had lost to the current World no. 8 back home in Kolkata but Sania with her young legs showed agility to come back strongly with just under a week to clinch her revenge.
This was the third meeting of the two and Hingis had the upper edge going into the game as she had won on both the previous occasions... Sania looked of beat in the first set, which Hingis won comfortably but after the first game in the second set Sania never looked back, causing the biggest upsets at Seoul to set a meeting with Indonesia’s Angelique Widaja in the quarters.
