
Lewis Hamilton was more than expected to continue his speed set in the previous two practices and he didn’t disappoint - but was unexpectedly faster than the rest in the final practice session at Bahrain.
The 22-year-old Brit denied the Malaysian Grand Prix winner the top spot, edging out Kimi Raikkonen in the final free practice session ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The F1 debutant Hamilton is fast growing into a sensation on the circuit, he had finished third and second in the first two practice sessions and here leaped for the utmost with a fastest lap time of 1:32.543, nearly a second quicker than his time in second run.
The McLaren driver is talented and has been performing to potential, he is surely a force to reckon with for the forthcoming GP - if his sublime knack continues he could possibly finish at the pole in the qualifying session scheduled for the afternoon.
Hamilton is also on the brink of history - the first black driver on the circuit could also become the first to finish on the podium thrice in the debut season, provided the Brit bags a spot in the top three at Bahrain.
