His followers will have to wait another year to see the hero making his NBA debut. Oden’s life isn’t action-packed as the top NBA draft pick will miss the rookie season with Trail Blazers. Wasn’t fully fit during his year, the colossal man developed a cartilage damage during a recent surgery. With much of a fanfare the team chose him but now the loss is indeed a big blow for the team as well.
Oden missed the start of his only season at Ohio State University while recovering from surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist. His revisit averaged 15.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.3 blocked shots, helping the Buckeyes reach college basketball’s championship game for the first time in long 45 years. However, in July Blazers signed him under a two-year contract worth $8.1 million.
Blazers wrapped their last season with a 32-50 record, marking the sixth-worst in NBA. The team was counting on Oden to help rebuild its record and status after numerous Portland players had stand-offs with the law, leading them to earn the nickname ‘Jail Blazers.’
The Portland Trail Blazers will no turn their heads to team’s still promising young players in the form of Roy, last season’s NBA Rookie of the Year and Aldridge, who will most likely play at the center in Oden’s absence.

This is shaping out to be a really exciting year as we move into the 2nd half of the season. The Celtics are clear front runners, the Lakers have are in the tick of it with the Gasol trade, Dallas, Detroit and San Antonio have the talent to go far and The Suns are an interesting dilemma after landing Shaq, I cant wait to see who takes it all this year, my money is on Dallas and LA but their odds keep dropping as you can see in Wagerwe.com http://www.wagerweb.com/sports-betting/nba-odds.html”> NBA Odds , it is going to be really exciting close of the season.
