After winning the Monaco grand prix, Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso looks in red-hot form to clinch the Canadian grand prix this weekend. Not only he was fastest in both the practice sessions yesterday but also his driving was absolutely marvelous.
According to Alonso,
That was a good start to our weekend at a challenging circuit. I don’t think we will dominate like we did at the last race in Monaco, and the track conditions here mean it is very hard to estimate where our competition is, but so far so good
According to report, Mclaren driver was 0.54 seconds ahead of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa in the second session. Rookie driver Lewis Hamilton was also at his usual best, recording the third fastest time in the practice session. If Mclaren is able to maintain their composure, I have no doubt in my mind that they can dominate the Canadian grand prix as Ferrari is struggling at the moment with Felipe Massa only finishing second fastest.
Toyota driver Ralf Schumacher is in serious trouble after a string of poor results this season. He disappointed again as he finished 19th in the second practice session.
