World no 1 Roger Federer maintained his winning feat and reserved his place in men’s singles quarter final of French Open with his empathetic victory over Tomas Berdych in the fourth round match.



Berdych who once defeated the Swiss legend at the 2004 Olympics could not come up to the expectation in fourth round match. He went down to Federer 3-6, 2-6, 3-6.



With this inspirational victory, Federer has resounded that he is one of strong contenders of this year’s French Open, the title could match him with American legend Pete Sampras.



Federer will now take on Croatia’s Mario Ancic in quarter final. The unstoppable Swiss said after the match.


I feel like I’m really into the tournament so from here on, my form is only going to get better.
