This NBA season the Philadelphia 76ers seem to find no resolve - the side seems driven by the lone hope Allen Iverson without any backing from the teammates, he was left to struggle alone in an integrated team effort from the defending champions earning the first home win in five games this season.
Miami Heat went into the game without their scoring pivot Shaquille O’Neal, though Dwyane Wade had plenty to display - he scored 33 points with 13 assists and 7 rebounds leading the Heats team-effort that saw five players scoring in double digits overshadowing a 45 point individual effort from Iverson, defeating the 76ers, 103-91.
It was an outstanding performance from Wade who became only the first player to have at least 30 points and 12 assists for three games on trot since Kevin Johnson of Phoenix in 1989. His effort was well assisted by Udonis Haslem contributing 18 points with 10 rebounds and Alonzo Mourning scoring 14 points.
It is a sour run for the 76ers they had kicked of the season in style starting 3-0, but have faced defeat in nine games out of 11. Allen Iverson had started the game as the NBA’s second leading scorer and found dozen different defenders guarding him but couldn’t stop him from producing yet another heroic effort only to end in vain - Now I feel Iverson should have considered a transfer pre-season.
