Yesterday i.e. June 18, was an awful day for linebacker, Arrington who was involved in a serious motorcycle accident in suburban Maryland. He was on the Route 50 off ramp to the Capital Beltway. Arrington was rushed to Prince George’s Medical Center, he is in serious but stable condition. Arrington sustained a broken arm and three broken bones in his leg. Local police, however, probably claims it to be a natural mishap. LaVar RaShad Arrington born on June20,1978 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has played for the New York Giants. Considered as one of the greatest high school football players ever to emerge from western Pennsylvania. Arrington has also been a tremendous athlete in basketball and track and field. After four seasons with the Redskins, Arrington signed an eight-year, $68 million contract extension with his club, ensuring a steady anchor at the linebacker position. Arrington was one of the Redskin’s’ most popular and visible players-his #56 jersey outselling all other jerseys combined in the team’s stores. However, the contract was afterwards mishandled by his agents. Washington drafted Arrington No. 2 overall in 2000, and he made three Pro Bowl appearances while with the Redskins. In April 2006, Arrington agreed to a seven-year, $49 million contract with the New York Giants but after one year, he was released from the contract since rumors spread of his retirement. However frequent injuries, grudge match with his coaches has at times, abstained him from playing. The recent mishap has totally, brought his retirement on the verge.
