Since the McLaren-Ferrari spying scandal erupted, McLaren’s team principal Ron Dennis has gone on the offensive, but as of now, a day before the hearing of the World Motor Sport Council in Paris, poignant Dennis reveals contemplating retirement in the past.

Dennis said:

It’s the most extreme situation I have experienced in Formula One. I have thought about resignation, but don’t think it would be appropriate.

Was he considering it in the light of the spying affair that McLaren had got themselves entangled in or was he really committed to it? It’s yet unanswerable, but the question arises why the man is struggling to keep his composure.

Ferrari had earlier indicted McLaren of profiting from a 780-page dossier of information sent by former performance director Nigel Stepney to McLaren’s suspended chief designer Mike Coughlan.

Whatever the case may be, if McLaren are found guilty, it would be hard to argue anything other than that the team should be strictly dealt in with. What should have been a dream year has gone terribly wrong as the two drivers are not in speaking terms with the team completely sinking.
