They can complain about any and everything they want, from the damp field conditions to anything, but the truth of the matter is, a pathetic fielding performance by the Tigers in Game 4, has put them in thick of things as the Cardinals take a commanding 3-1 lead in the World Series.

The pitch conditions were soggy due to rain that also saw the game postponed by a day. Detroit’s may have seemed slightly perturbed by the condition but nothing would deter the St. Louis Cardinals who won second game on trot in a dramatic 5-4 encounter, and are now a game away from their first World Series title in 24 years.

The Cardinals can claim their first World Series win since ‘82 with a victory in Game 5 at home. But if the Tigers win then that will send the Series in for Game 6 in Detroit, the possibility of which can not be ruled out, we are well aware of the Detroit Tigers fighting sprit and their will to fight back is a certain impetus for the side.

Tigers have the ability to pull back 3 Games in a row, but aren’t in a good position at present. To fancy a chance in the series they will have to get out of the sloppy plays and lift up their game drastically.
