Kobe Bryant falls short of 50 in the fifth straight game oh! no the guy’s had an ‘off night’ - a pun all Kobe fans had in their mouth, when the All-Star guard scored 43 points in the Los Angeles Lakers win over the Golden State Warriors at Staples Centre.

Bryant’s streak halts but the Lakers have something they haven’t managed so far in the season - a season high five game win stint.
The Warriors’ had a defensive ploy crafted for Kobe, but did it work, yes, perhaps to restrict him from 50 - the gallant effort of 15-of-33 from the floor and 9-of-11 of free throws from Kobe and a staggering 63-33 rebounding advantage were the key factors in the Lakers triumph.
Bryant become only the second player ever in NBA history after late Wilt Chamberlain, to score 50 or more points in four straight games, Chamberlain himself scored at least 50 in a record seven games on trot in December 1961.
In a post match interview when asked if he felt any disappointment about falling short of 50 Bryant emphatically replied,
.What? No! I’ve always said Wilt’s a human video game. For me to be in the same breath with him, even if it’s a short little breath, is pretty cool
This was the Warriors’ eight straight defeat to the Lakers and their thirteenth from fourteen games between the sides.
