The American legend playing in his eighteenth game of the year, lost to German Benjamin Becker at the US Open, in what he had said would be his last tennis tourney. This loss brought to end a career, which spanned to over two decades. Though, this farewell in no way takes away anything from this long and illustrious career, we are aware that careers in sports do not last long and in tennis they are even shorter.
This tennis maestro who is one of the five all time greats to have won all four major grand slams, burst into tears when he spoke to his fans for the last time on court in a moment that he will surly savor to prosperity. The truly inspirational living legend took his last bow and bid farewell to a game he played for last 21 years. The galaxy of tennis players will surely miss this star on court...
