The procession of 15th Asian Games steadily came to its end today on 15th Dec. in Doha. Over again the prior day i.e. 14th Dec. was in the name of China as it dominated all other contenders in octet of games with fetching 8 Golds in various events on 14th day. On the very last day of event China wins Gold in Men’s Basketball and concluded the event with a blend of sweet and sore memories.
15th Day came with some selective 15 concluding matches with 39 Golds won by various energetic participants. Here is a crux:
Day 14 at Doha:
• In Women’s Basketball China grab Gold, Chinese Taipei Silver and Japanese got Bronze.
• In Canoe / Kayak Men’s C1 500m as well as in Men’s K1 500m category China grabbed Gold while in Men’s C2 500m and K2 500m Kazakh pocked Gold.
• In Chess Mixed Team’s Classical India won pre-decided Gold, China Silver while Iran won Bronze.
• In Men’s Football Iran won Bronze.
• In Men’s Handball Kuwait bagged Gold, Qatar Silver and Iran Bronze.
• Men’s Hockey Korea got Gold, China Silver while Pakistan could procure Bronze.
• In Men’s Tennis Singles Thaind’s Danai Udomcoke grabbed Gold and Korean Hyung Taik Lee secured Silver while in Women’s Doubles Chinese couple got Gold and Chinese Taipei got Silver.
• In Men’s Volleyball Korea smashed Gold, China got Silver and Saudi Arabia procured Bronze.
• Wushu event threw out greatest no. of medals on the day 14th with 9 Golds, 9 Silvers and 4 Bronze to the winners in different weight categories.
China maintained itself as the whole-time winner with 164 Golds, 88 Silvers and 63 Bronze making a huge total 315. South Korea stands second bellow China with 58 Golds, 53 Silvers and 82 Bronze with a total 193. India finishes eighth hanging below Uzbekistan with 10 Golds, 18 Silvers and 26 Bronze totaling 54.
