- In Archery both Men’s and women’s Korean quartet got Gold; Chinese Taipei got Silver while India Bronze.

- In Boxing in men’s 54Kg weight category TIPON Joan of Philippines grabbed Gold while Koreans HAN Soon Chul got Silver.

- Men’s Light 60Kg category Chinese HU Qing fetched Gold while Mongolian Munkh Erdene could afford Silver.

- In Men’s Super Heavy (+91Kg) category Uzbekistan’s Saidov Rustam got Gold and Dildabekov Mukhtarkhan from Kazakhstan affords Silver.

- In football (Women’s) Korea got Gold, Japan Silver and China Bronze.

- In Women’s Hockey China acquired Gold, Japan Silver and India gets back a piece of lost glory by winning Bronze.

- In water sports Men’s and Women’s 420m Sailing event Singapore wins Gold, Japan Silver and Myanmar Bronze in both gender category.

- In Tennis; Mix (Leander Paes and Sania Mrza) as well as Men’s doubles (Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi) Gold dropped into the lap of India while Women’s singles Jie Zheng outplayed Sania in final.

- In Wrestling in all three 60, 74 and 96 kg weight categories Iran dominated all grapplers with bagging all three Gold. Mohammedi Pahnehkalaei Seyed Morad in 60kg, AliAsghar Bazrighaleh in 74kg while AliReza Heidari in 96kg weight category brought three Gold for Iran.

However pair of Gold in Tennis brought a lot of glee but the break up between Paes and Bhupathi is a bit stinging memory as the both players declared that they will never play together. Bhupathi said that Paes humiliated him by saying that he didn’t perform well.

With grabbing twin Gold and one Bronze India notches up to a total of 51 medals (9 Gold, 18 Silver and 24 Bronze) and stands seventh in the row below Iran with 10 Golds. Still China is on top with total 290 medals ( 149 Golds, 79 Silvers and 62 Bronze).
